Job summary

The ideal candidate is a high school graduate with at least six months of manufacturing experience, capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and willing to work in a team-oriented environment focused on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Clear communication skills in reading and writing English.

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Set up and operate extrusion machines according to job specifications and safety standards.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure consistent quality and output.
• Adjust machine settings (e.g., speed, temperature, pressure) to maintain optimal production conditions.
• Make repairs to equipment when necessary and replace all broken and/or worn components.
• Perform routine quality checks and inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Record production data and complete shift logs accurately.
• Load raw materials and monitor material feed.
• Follow all safety procedures and report any safety problems to the Production Manager immediately.
• Commit to our continuous improvement and safety initiatives.
• Identify, label, weigh and dispose of scrap.
• Clean and maintain machines and work area to ensure operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with maintenance and quality control teams as needed.
• Fulfill the role as required in the documented quality system manual, directives and work instruction.
• Identify and resolve basic machine malfunctions or deviation.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements

• High school graduate, GED or equivalent.
• 6 months of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. standing/walking 8 hours per day.
• Ability to read and write English clearly and concisely.
• Must have the capability to correctly identify the different materials and product.
• Ability to drive a forklift to move material and pipe.
• Must be able to work with minimum direction after being trained.
