Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate extrusion machines according to job specifications and safety standards.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure consistent quality and output.
• Adjust machine settings (e.g., speed, temperature, pressure) to maintain optimal production conditions.
• Make repairs to equipment when necessary and replace worn components.
• Perform routine quality checks using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Record production data and complete shift logs accurately.
• Load raw materials and monitor material feed.
• Follow safety procedures and report safety problems to Production Manager.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and safety initiatives.
• Identify, label, weigh and dispose of scrap.
• Clean and maintain machines and work area for efficiency.
• Collaborate with maintenance and quality control as needed.
• Fulfill role as per quality system manual, directives and work instructions.
• Identify and resolve basic machine malfunctions.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements:

This position should possess the following skills/knowledge:

• 6 months of manufacturing experience
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. standing/walking 8 hours per day
• Ability to read and write English clearly and concisely.
• Must have the capability to correctly identify the different materials and product
• Ability to drive a forklift to move material and pipeMust be able to work with minimum direction after being trained
