Job summary

Qualifications

Job description

We are seeking an Extrusion Technician to join our dynamic team. The role of the Extrusion Technician is to care for all machine-specific functions such as startup, configuring the equipment, loading, and operating the machines, changeover, shutdown, preventative maintenance, and optimizing the machine capability. Technicians will ensure that assigned machines are running to their full capacity, oversee and perform light maintenance, and perform quality checks to drive profitability and achieve strategic objectives.

• MON - FRI 3PM - 11PM

Pay

$17.10/hr

Duties

• Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment.
• Perform various tasks to set up, load materials, operate, monitor, troubleshoot, clean, and complete preventive maintenance on assigned machines.
• Set up and operate single or multiple production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops.
• Check machine output and identify any issues. Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications.
• Inspect parts to specifications and make adjustments, or tool changes as necessary to maintain quality specifications.
• Box tubes, fill out tags, inspect and gauge tubes. Observe and assess tubes, communicate and recommend changes and adjustments.

Qualifications

• Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with hand tools, press brake machines, and precision measuring instruments is essential.
• Experience in plastics blow molding is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
