Job summary

Westlake Plastics Co in Lenni, PA, is seeking an Extrusion Sheet-line Operator to run and monitor extrusion lines, ensure quality and safety, and hand off correct data to the next shift. You will learn setup, troubleshoot, and maintain records for ISO/OSHA compliance.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools.
• Awareness of surroundings at all times.
• Ability to think on their feet, make decisions and solve problems with little or no supervision.
• Working knowledge of electricity, plumbing and pneumatics.
• Prompt and reliable, able to work overtime as needed.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License; forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a running sheet extrusion line with respect to quality, safety and product specification.
• Maintain accurate records of extrusion process parameters through the duration of the shift.
• Learn to set-up, start and troubleshoot all specialty product extrusion lines.
• Ensure handover of process information from the production run to next shift’s lead operator.
• Follow company standards for safety and PPE, and comply with ISO and OSHA standards.
• Complete relevant training provided by the company.
• Maintain a good working relationship with other departments.
