Job summary

United Staffing Associates is partnering with an established manufacturer to identify an Extrusion Process Technician who will support efficient production, maintain product quality, and help improve manufacturing performance.

This hands-on role requires troubleshooting equipment, coordinating production changes, training operators, and monitoring line performance, OEE, scrap, and packaging quality in Fresno, California.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to learn manufacturing equipment.
• Experience in manufacturing is preferred.
• Able to read and follow work orders, specs, and instructions.
• Fluent in reading and speaking English.
• Strong attention to detail in inspections and records.
• Clear communication and teamwork skills.
• Safety-conscious approach to operation and housekeeping.
• Capable of standing long hours and lifting up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set up extrusion and related lines, coordinating product changes and restarts.
• Verify BOMs, work orders, and setup requirements against production needs.
• Troubleshoot equipment and processes to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
• Monitor line speed, availability, and scrap to meet quality goals.
• Ensure correct materials, instructions, and packaging on lines.
• Inspect finished tubing/coil quality, labeling, and packaging requirements.
• Prepare and retain quality samples with complete documentation.
• Train and mentor operators on coiler/reeler operation and procedures.
• Own production issues during shifts and drive timely resolutions.
• Perform line preventive maintenance and manage spare parts inventory.
• Provide shift reports on production, issues, and follow-up items.
• Maintain clean, organized lines and tool areas; observe safety procedures.
