At WeldFit, the position of Extrusion/Press Operator is responsible for the manufacture of extrusions and round-up pressing for extrusions, maintain, maintenance and equipment for productivity and safety by performing the duties and responsibilities below.Other Duties / Expectations:SafetyLearn all safety precautions with regards to safe oppress operation including heating extrusions and rounding up various extruded products.Work and think safety at all times.Responds to verbal or written instructions for safety and security calls regarding machinery.RecordsRecords all inspections, tests and repairs on preventive maintenance stickers.Records written recommendations on improvements to reduce setup time and run time.Tools/InstallationMust have basic hand tools.Be proficient in measuring devices tape, level, and gauges.Installs special functional and structural parts and equipment.InspectsInspects damage parts, determines nature of repair and uses repair tools to rework or refurbish worn or damaged parts.Inspects, tests, and adjusts all systems, machinery and equipment on a regular basis.Performs checks and balances on machines to assure the proper functioning.ConstructingReassembles equipment and tests performance as neededBasic understanding of hydraulics and hydraulic systemsMiscellaneousPerforms other related duties as assignedMust be able to work overtime and weekends with minimum notice.Daily operation and maintenance of presses.Experience Levels:Over a year, up to about 3 years of general experience / equivalent competence level on various machine operations.Physical Requirements:Ability to stand, walk, bend and climbCapability of lifting up to 50 lbs. on a regular basisHigh Level of manual dexterityEducation/Experience Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalentEducation/Experience Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalentPrior experience in similar jobRequired Skills:English Reading, Writing, and Verbal SkillsTime Management SkillsBasic Layout SkillsBlueprint Reading SkillsMathematic Aptitude
