Job summary

Intex in Michigan is seeking a Thor Extrusion Press Operator for a Sunday-Friday night shift (11pm-7am). You will review schedules, print work orders, verify die oven temperatures, operate press and log furnace, and document extrusion measurements.

Candidates should have 1+ years extrusion press experience in manufacturing, reliable transportation, and a strong attendance record. You will participate in trainings, handle measuring tools, and enter production data in EPICS; willingness to work

Qualifications

• 1+ years of extrusion press experience (preferred).
• Working experience in a manufacturing facility.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have excellent attendance and work ethic.
• Commute to multiple company facilities and personnel, as needed.
• Engages in self-learning keeping up with industry trends, safety, and company information, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform all additional duties assigned by department supervisor/manager.
• Position may require sitting, walking, standing, bending, stretching, kneeling, reaching (including over the head), lifting, and other movements for long periods of time.
• Attend and complete any Company or outsourced trainings, as assigned.
• Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.

• Review schedule and print work orders.
• Verify that dies and temperature(s) used in the die oven are correct.
• Operates press and log furnace.
• Check the dimensions of extrusions with measuring tools and document findings.
• Stretches extrusions, as needed.
• Enters production data in Epics.
• Perform all additional duties assigned by department supervisor/manager.
• Position may require sitting, walking, standing, bending, stretching, kneeling, reaching (including over the head), lifting, and other movements (not specified) for long periods of time
• Attend and complete any Company or outsourced trainings, as assigned
• Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.

• Must wear PPE required for this position (i.e: safety glasses, steel toe, ear plugs, gloves, etc.).

This position requires: punctuality and excellent attendance, with physical ability to perform duties assigned including but not limited to extensive standing/walking, extensive bending/kneeling/squatting, continuous lifting up to 75 pounds from floor to average waist-high platform, use of various hand tools and instruments, and extreme temperatures.
