Job summary

Engineered Profiles LLC is seeking a mechanically inclined Extrusion Operator Trainee for night shift in Columbus, OH. Starting pay is based on experience, with training to run plastic extrusion lines and progress to skilled operator roles.

Shifts are nights on a rotating two-week schedule, with opportunities for growth, a 12-hour shift, and a potential 10% shift differential. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Some manufacturing and/or technical experience desirable
• Must be able to use a tape measure, length gauge, and precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and various quality gauges
• Must have good mechanical aptitude and acceptable math skills (e.g., division, multiplication) and basic knowledge of raw materials used in extrusion

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment (dies, screws, downline equipment) to make line production capable
• Start up all machinery and adjust as needed for high quality extrusion
• Follow safety rules, report hazards, and maintain a clean work area
• Ensure quality of extruded products by completing check sheets, color checks, SPC data entry, and other reports
• Ensure proper packaging quality and available packing materials
• Assist in training new trainees with knowledge sharing
• Perform other duties as assigned
