Job summary

Sealed Air in Hudson, NC is seeking an Extrusion Operator for the reclaim line on the afternoon shift (4:00 PM–12:00 AM). The role pays $21.28 per hour with a $2.00 shift premium.

You will set up, operate, and monitor extrusion equipment, ensuring quality and safety in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include running the line, stopping safely during emergencies, using computer systems to adjust run conditions, and performing quality testing on film samples.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience troubleshooting machinery.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to produce finished goods per specs.
• Safely stop equipment in normal or emergency conditions.
• Set up machinery according to SOC conditions.
• Use computer system to set run conditions and adjust as needed.
• Perform line startup and shutdown.
• Follow SOPs to operate safely and efficiently.
• Use production reporting systems to complete tasks.
• Safely operate lab equipment and test film samples.

Extrusion Operator Reclaim

Afternoon Shift: 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM

Shift Premium Amount: $2.00

Pay Rate: $21.28

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operates equipment to produce finished goods to production specifications.
• Ability to safely STOP equipment during normal conditions and during an emergency.
• Sets machine up to SOC using the appropriate conditions.
• Uses a computer system to set run conditions and adjusts as necessary within SOC.
• Performs line start up and line shut down.
• Understands and safely operate equipment.
• Follows all training documents or standard operating procedures (SOP) to operate the line safely and efficiently.
• Uses production reporting systems to fulfill job functions.
• Safely operates lab equipment.
• Understands all quality lab equipment and is able to operate and adjust as necessary to safely test film samples.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to troubleshoot machine issues.
• Strong mechanical aptitude is desired.
• Ability to make sound decisions and follow guidelines.
• Must have good communication skills.
• Basic math, reading, and computer skills.
• High awareness toward safety.
• Ability to solve problems and apply critical thinking.
• Able to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team.
• College-level courses or trade school preferred, but not necessary.
• Ability to operate cranes, forklift, and other related equipment.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, and bending.
• Pushing, pulling, lifting at least 40lbs.
• Eye/hand coordination.
