Job summary

Plastic Ingenuity is seeking an Extrusion Operator to set up jobs on the extruder, change die sets, install deckles, set gaps on rollers, and load materials in a climate-controlled facility.

You will monitor the extrusion process, perform roll changes with a hoist, and complete maintenance tasks to ensure quality and safety. Proficiency in English and good manual dexterity are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Attention to detail essential for precise extrusion work.
• Dexterity and ability to work quickly and accurately.
• Proficiency in English required for communication and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and troubleshoot any problem with the extruder.
• Oversee each job that runs and ensure each job is completed.
• Complete required paperwork regarding equipment maintenance, job setup and quality standards.
• Change the rolls on the extruder, using a hoist to lift and carry the roll to the skid.
• Perform maintenance activities on the extruder.
• Help with other tasks within the department.
• Follow good manufacturing practices to ensure product safety.
• Ability to work independently and have sound technical judgment.
