Job summary

Five Star Management is seeking an Extrusion Helper to support the extrusion operator on the Houston shop floor. You will assist with startup, monitor resin feed, and help keep equipment clean and materials organized.

This role requires the ability to work in a factory environment, stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and communicate clearly with team leads. Prior manufacturing exposure (minimum 3 months) is preferred, and basic computer skills are helpful.

The Extrusion Helper is responsible for assisting the extrusion operator with basic tasks, including cleaning the machine's rollers, organizing production rolls on pallets, general workspace cleaning, delivering samples to the laboratory, and providing support during machine startup. The Helper reports directly to the Team Lead and, when required, to the Extrusion Coordinator.

DESCRIPTION

EXPERIENCE

• Knowledge to assist the operation of blown film extrusion machines.
• Minimum of 3 months of experience in a manufacturing environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to work in high and low temperature environments.
• Capable of climbing stairs multiple times a day.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Work is performed primarily on the manufacturing floor, which may involve exposure to loud noises, machinery, high temperatures and chemicals.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
• Need to have own transportation to visit more than one facility during the day.
