Job summary

STARPAK LLC in Houston, TX is seeking an Extrusion Helper to assist the extrusion operator with routine startup and production tasks on the blown film line.

You will keep the work area clean, handle resin feeds, assist with start-up, move rolls, and deliver samples to the lab, while following PPE requirements and working closely with the team.

The Extrusion Helper is responsible for assisting the extrusion operator with basic tasks, including cleaning the machine's rollers, organizing production rolls on pallets, general workspace cleaning, delivering samples to the laboratory, and providing support during machine startup. The Helper reports directly to the Team Lead and, when required, to the Extrusion Coordinator.

EXPERIENCE

• Knowledge to assist the operation of blown film extrusion machines.
• Minimum of 3 months of experience in a manufacturing environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to work in high and low temperature environments.
• Capable of climbing stairs multiple times a day.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Work is performed primarily on the manufacturing floor, which may involve exposure to loud noises, machinery, high temperatures and chemicals.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
• Need to have own transportation to visit more than one facility during the day.
