Job summary

Uponor is seeking an extrusion operator to safely run specialized extrusion equipment, perform die changes, set ups, and maintain accurate production records. You will monitor quality and help with daily preventative maintenance and lean initiatives.

This full-time, in-person role offers a 4 days on, 4 days off 12-hour day shift (6am–6pm) with a base pay of $20.50–$27.22 per hour plus $1/hr PEX Premium. Benefits include health coverage, PTO, and 401k matching.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent is required.
• Good math skills are required, including familiarity with the metric system.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Basic mechanical and technical skills are required.
• Must be able to problem solve, multitask/prioritize and pay attention to detail.
• Must be able to work a 12-hour shift.
• Manufacturing experience of 1-3 years is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate computer-controlled equipment according to procedures, including die changes and changeovers.
• Perform reel changes as reels reach capacity per written procedures.
• Verify product quality using precision measuring devices and document results.
• Record all required data on production reports (hardcopy or electronic).
• Maintain 6S standards in the work area and perform operator preventative maintenance.
• Collect and submit quality samples as required.
• Contribute to lean initiatives to improve business performance.
