Job summary

Staffmark Group in Plymouth, MN is seeking an Extrusion Operator to operate plastic extrusion equipment on the 2nd shift (1:30 PM–11:30 PM) with overtime as needed. The role focuses on manufacturing precision tubing, maintaining quality, and supporting process improvements.

Requirements include at least 2 years of plastic extrusion experience, a preferred plastics manufacturing certification, and the ability to follow safety and quality procedures on a 10-hour shift.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of plastic extrusion experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Vocational, technical training, or certification in plastics manufacturing is preferred.
• Knowledge of extrusion processes, tooling, resins, temperature controls, and downstream equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining extrusion equipment.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow quality procedures and work a 10-hour 2nd shift schedule, including overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate plastic extrusion equipment to manufacture precision and miniature tubing.
• Monitor production, maintain quality standards, and troubleshoot equipment issues as needed.
• Perform equipment maintenance, mix raw materials, and support engineering with process improvements.
• Execute equipment qualifications and document results to ensure compliance with production standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment while meeting production goals and deadlines.
