Job summary

Marmon Aerospace & Defense LLC in Manchester, NH is seeking a 2nd Shift Extrusion Operator (Mon-Fri, 4:00pm–12:00am) to join a seasoned manufacturing team. You’ll set up and run extrusion machines, monitor speeds, feed material, and inspect produced parts to spec.

A 4% shift differential applies on top of base pay. Prior wire or plastics extrusion or wire and cable experience is highly preferred. Candidates must follow health and safety rules and demonstrate good English communication.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of extrusion experience.
• Experience with high-speed manufacturing machinery.
• Adherence to health and safety regulations and PPE use.
• Proficient verbal and written English communication.
• Ability to work in a team and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Set up extrusion machines (calibration, cleaning) to start a production cycle.
• Control and adjust machine settings (speed, temp) as needed.
• Feed raw material to semi-automated equipment and monitor output.
• Inspect parts with measuring tools to ensure quality.
• Record production data and maintain shift logs.
• Address and report any machine issues during the shift.

Previous wire or plastics extrusion or wire and cable experience highly preferred.

Machine Operator Responsibilities

• Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle


• Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)


• Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines


• Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools


• Test operation of machines periodically


• Fix issues that might occur during the shift


• Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws


• Keep records of approved and defective units or final products


• Maintain activity logs

Skills/Experience

• 1+ years of extrusion experience


• Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)


• Previous manufacturing environment required


• Understanding of production procedures


• Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)


• Analytical skills


• Attention to detail


• Teamwork and communication skills


• Physical demands such as: Stamina and strength, standing and or walking for extended periods, lifting materials up to 50lbs.


• Demonstrate proficiency in English, including verbal and written communication and comprehension.
