Job summary

Marmon Aerospace & Defense LLC in Manchester, NH is seeking a 2nd Shift Extrusion Operator (Mon-Fri, 4:00pm - 12:00am) to join our manufacturing team. You will set up and run extrusion machines, monitor output, and ensure quality.

The role includes a 4% shift differential on base pay; prior wire, plastics extrusion, or wire and cable experience preferred; strong safety and measurement skills required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of extrusion experience.
• Working knowledge of high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer).
• Understanding of production procedures and safety regulations.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Teamwork and effective communication in a manual manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines (calibration, cleaning) to start a production cycle.
• Control and adjust machine settings (e.g., speed).
• Feed raw material to semi-automated machines.
• Inspect parts with precision measuring tools.
• Test operation and fix issues during the shift.
• Maintain activity logs and records of output.

Previous wire or plastics extrusion or wire and cable experience highly preferred.

Machine Operator Responsibilities

• Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle
• Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)
• Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines
• Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools
• Test operation of machines periodically
• Fix issues that might occur during the shift
• Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
• Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
• Maintain activity logs

Skills/Experience

• 1+ years of extrusion experience
• Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)
• Previous manufacturing environment required
• Understanding of production procedures
• Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
• Analytical skills
• Attention to detail
• Teamwork and communication skills
• Physical demands such as: Stamina and strength, standing and or walking for extended periods, lifting materials up to 50lbs.
• Demonstrate proficiency in English, including verbal and written communication and comprehension.
