Job summary

Nanshan America AAT LLC in Lafayette, IN is seeking an Extrusion Associate to operate and maintain extrusion machinery for aluminum profiles, bars, tubes, and rods. You will set up dies, manage billets, monitor quality, and document production metrics.

The role requires standing for long periods, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shifts. Forklift experience is beneficial and training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must have 1–2 years of manufacturing experience.
• Must be able to stand all day.
• Must be able to follow lockout/tagout procedures.
• Must be able to operate a forklift after training.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Ability to maintain production pace with others.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate extrusion press to shape billets into bars, tubes, and profiles.
• Install dies and tools in press according to product size and type.
• Operate automated equipment and manage billets from furnace to press.
• Regulate extrusion rate to meet quality and production metrics.
• Run run-out table, guide extrusion, and trim to length as needed.
• Record production data in EPICS (crew time, billets used, items processed).
• May operate a forklift to move raw or scrap materials.
• Look for improvements to quality, efficiency, safety, and hygiene.
