Job summary

Commercial Metals Company is seeking a production operator to operate production equipment, monitor quality, and support shift transitions. The role offers opportunities to engage in hands-on fabrication tasks across our facilities and mills, with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks including climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Operate production equipment and monitor the quality of output and machine performance
  • Confirm work receipt and complete other required paperwork
  • Adapting to changing priorities; making plans to achieve those goals and implementing them
  • Adjust machines using company-supplied hand tools and minor maintenance; asking questions and getting clarifications as needed
  • Work independently performing quality inspections on own work to meet production standards
  • Ensure that all pertinent information related to shift carry-over, including job and machine status, is conveyed to the incoming operators during shift transitions.
  • Maintain an organized workstation
  • Attend appropriate training and meetings as required
  • Always adhere to company safety policies and procedures

What You'll Need
  • Must be able to perform the physical task of the job assigned; to include climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
  • Must be able to lift 75 pounds, climb ladders and steps, work outside under all weather conditions when needed

  • High School Diploma or GED
