Job summary

Engineered Floors in Dalton, GA is seeking an Extrusion Operator to efficiently run an extrusion machine for yarn production. This role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, and familiarity with basic hand tools. Overtime may be required, and prior extrusion experience is a plus. You will work with a partner to maintain clean, organized areas and proper labeling of yarn products.

Qualifications

The Extrusion Operator is responsible for efficiently operating an extrusion machine for yarn production.

• String up positions when breakouts occur as efficient as possible.
• Effectively pack-out yarn with correct labeling and preparation.
• Work with a partner to ensure safe and efficient production.
• Learn to clean and inspect spinnerets.
• Keep work area clean and organized.

Performance Expectations (if applicable):

• Lifting, reaching, standing, stooping, and bending is required throughout the shift.
• Must be able to lift 60 lbs.
• Must be able to use scissors, a wrap stick, wrenches, and other hand tools.
• Must be able to distinguish colors and shades.

Experience/Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous Extrusion experience preferred.

Other Requirements:

• Overtime required on occasion.
• All accidents must be reported immediately.
