Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Maintenance Technician I for the 2nd shift (Sunday–Friday, 3pm–3am) in Bryan, TX. The role centers on setting up, repairing, and ordering parts for equipment, with a learning-focused apprenticeship path and cross-functional maintenance support.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1–2 years in manufacturing, basic electrical/mechanical knowledge, and proficiency with Word/Excel.

Responsabilités

• Respond to maintenance calls and complete repairs to support manufacturing operations.

• Perform preventive maintenance tasks as instructed.
• Start up and shut down equipment per procedures.

JOB DETAILS

2nd Shift: 3pm-3am Sunday-Friday

Pay starting at $19.50-$23.50 plus a $1 per hour shift differential

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintenance Technician I is primarily an apprenticeship position with responsibilities including but not limited to, setting up equipment as needed, repairing equipment, and ordering replacement parts.

• Support manufacturing operations by responding to maintenance calls and completing simple repairs
• Troubleshoot all equipment in a timely manner – call for additional support on complex problems
• Learn and support manufacturing equipment recipe changes and control adjustments
• Understand and maintain/adjust basic drive train and power train components
• Perform simple to complex mechanical Preventative Maintenance Tasks following instructions
• Start up and shut down equipment per established procedures and schedules
• Enter all work completed in computer-based maintenance program
• Monitor and report spare parts usage including completing parts order forms

Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• In progress of obtaining an Associate Degree in related field desired
• Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
• Basic knowledge in mechanical repairs and troubleshooting techniques
• Proficient in Word and Excel
• Must be willing to attend training sessions as needed, including out of state locations
• Basic understanding of electrical safety and motor control circuits
• Basic understanding of electrical principles such as voltage, current and resistance
• Familiar with electrical measurement devices(voltage meters, micrometers)
• Basic knowledge of pneumatic systems
• Ability to use windows based software programs
• Ability to express verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrate problem-solving skills
• Possess strong work ethic and knowledge of simple troubleshooting.
• Skilled in following directives of more senior level technicians and/or Supervision
• Prefer some level of basic metal fabrication and welding experience
• Knowledge of and experience with proper Lock-Out, Tag-Out procedures
• Flexible and willing to work various maintenance shifts
• Able to attend training sessions as required, including out of state travel
