Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials Inc. is seeking an Extrusion Machine Operator to join our Reading, PA manufacturing team. You will set up, operate, and maintain extrusion equipment in line with SOPs, safety rules, and production targets.

You should be mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement. The role includes operating forklifts, performing basic preventive maintenance, and supporting process improvements while adhering to 5S standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3–5 years of industrial experience preferred.
  • OSHA-certified forklift operation experience.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude with hand/power tools and measuring instruments (tape measure, caliper & micrometer).
  • Understanding of raw materials, production flow, and quality control practices.
  • Computer proficiency, especially in M3 systems or similar ERP platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate extrusion machines according to SOPs, schedules, and order specifications.
  • Continuously monitor machines, materials, and environmental conditions; make real-time adjustments.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and document findings.
  • Accurately record production data and follow documentation protocols.
  • Perform basic maintenance and housekeeping to maintain machine efficiency and safety.
  • Follow safety protocols and assist with process improvements.

In this role, you'll be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining extrusion equipment in alignment with our quality, safety, and production standards. If you’re mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement, we want to hear from you.**Key Responsibilities*** **Machine Setup & Operation:** Set up and operate extrusion machines according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), schedules, and order specifications. Coordinate with setup operators during teardowns and new setups.* **Process Monitoring:** Continuously monitor machines, materials, and environmental conditions to detect issues and ensure smooth operation. Make real-time adjustments as needed.* **Quality Control:** Inspect finished products to ensure they meet customer and internal quality standards. Document all findings and take corrective action when necessary.* **Documentation & Reporting:** Accurately record production data and follow all required documentation protocols.* **Preventive Maintenance & Housekeeping:** Perform basic maintenance and cleaning tasks to maintain machine efficiency and workplace safety (5S practices).
