Job summary

Americhem is hiring a Machine Operator I for the 2nd shift in Concord, NC. You will operate extrusion machines, set up equipment, and tend lines to produce custom color concentrates used in a wide range of products.

The role requires basic manufacturing experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401(k) match, PTO and holidays, and life insurance. Training provided for shift specifics.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: 1–2 years in manufacturing/production strongly preferred.
• Knowledge: Mechanical aptitude, ability to troubleshoot, forklifts and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and tend extrusion machines to process products.
• Produce compound samples according to specifications using production equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance to keep machinery operational.
• Safely move color pots using a tow motor/forklift and place them correctly.
• Maintain safety procedures and participate in safety programs.
