Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an Extrusion Machine Operator. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing processes and be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards. This position offers growth opportunities within the organization.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and maintain extruders for continuous production of product

Monitor product quality, adjusting as needed to ensure specifications are met

Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance tasks

Load and unload materials manually or using hoists

Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines

Collaborate effectively with other operators and support staff to meet production goals

Document process parameters, product quality, and other relevant information

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production efficiency and productivity

Availability to work overtime as required


Skills

Knowledge of plastics manufacturing processes and FDA regulations related to medical device manufacturing a plus

Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot machine issues

Familiarity with LEAN manufacturing principles and continuous improvement techniques

Excellent communication skills and strong commitment to safety and teamwork

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and move around the production area

Preferred Experience:

1+ year experience operating extruders or similar machinery

Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite) and familiarity with SAP or comparable ERP systems a plus
