Role Overview

The Extrusion Operator safely operates extrusion machines, feeds raw material to create medical-grade tubing and profiles according to detailed drawings, specifications, and routing notes. Responsibilities include performing dimensional inspections with tools like micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators, recording inspections using Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and managing machine setup and tear-down. Mechanical aptitude and computer proficiency are required.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely produce silicone extruded products and troubleshoot processes with limited supervision.
• Read and interpret work processes, models, and prints.
• Use general computer programs and industrial technology such as QAD, MQ1, and FACTIVITY.
• Adhere to SOPs, MOPs, ISO standards, and GMP.
• Safely use power and hand tools for defined processes.
• Perform math calculations, maintain accurate documentation, multitask, and stand for extended periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of machine operating experience preferred.
• Good eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity required.
• Mechanical inclination required.

Shift Hours: Sunday - Thursday; 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM

Pay: $16.50/hr. (post-training); $1.00/hr. shift premium; $2.00/hr. department premium.
