Job summary

Sealed Air Corporation is seeking an operator to run an extrusion line on the afternoon 12-hour rotating shift. The role focuses on operating equipment safely, setting up machines to SOC conditions, and running line start-ups and shut-downs to meet production specs.

The candidate should have 2–3 years of manufacturing equipment experience, basic reading/writing/math skills, and solid English comprehension. Overtime may be required; a strong emphasis on safety and quality is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have strong safety awareness and follow guidelines.
• 2-3 years of manufacturing equipment operation experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
• Must be able to read and comprehend English.
• Good communication skills, both personal and via email.
• Must demonstrate troubleshooting skills and sound judgment for Safety and Quality.
• Ability to complete production-related documentation (Excel, Word).
• Willingness to work overtime to complete tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to produce finished goods to production specifications.
• Safely STOP equipment during normal conditions and during an emergency.
• Set machine up to SOC using the appropriate conditions.
• Use a computer system to set run conditions and adjust as necessary within SOC.
• Perform Line start up and Line shut down.
• Understand and safely operate extruders.
• Follow SOPs to operate the line safely and efficiently.
• Use production reporting systems to fulfill job functions.
• Safely operate lab equipment.
• Operate and adjust all quality lab equipment to test film samples.
