Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in North Brunswick, NJ is seeking an Extrusion Packer for the 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM) to inspect, pack, label, and prepare extruded products for shipment.

You will support the extrusion line, ensure product quality, and follow 5S and PPE procedures while working with operators and quality staff to meet production goals. A high school diploma is preferred; prior manufacturing/packing experience is a plus; lift up to 50 pounds is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or packing is a plus.
• Ability to read and understand work instructions, labels, and production documentation.
• Basic math skills for counting, measuring and recording production data.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

The Extrusion packer is responsible for inspecting, packing, labeling, and preparing extruded products for shipment while maintaining safety, quality, and production standards. This role supports efficient operation of the extrusion production line by ensuring finished products meet customer specifications and company requirements.

Duties and responsibilities

• Inspect extruded products for defects and overall quality.
• Pack finished products according to customer specifications, packaging instructions, and company standards.
• Apply labels and product identification accurately.
• Ensure correct quantities are packed and documented.
• Monitor product appearance and promptly report quality concerns to the operator, team lead, or supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S.
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Assist with material handling, palletizing, wrapping, and moving finished goods.
• Work effectively with extrusion operators, quality personnel, and team members to achieve production goals.
• Identify and communicate equipment, product, or safety issues to supervision.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
