Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking an Extrusion Packer for our North Brunswick, NJ facility. The role involves inspecting, packing, labeling, and preparing extruded products for shipment while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will work a 1st shift, 7:00 A.M. - 3:30 P.M., earning $17.25 per hour. Ideal candidates have a HS diploma and manufacturing or packing experience, with strong attention to detail and the ability to read production docs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or packing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand work instructions, labels, and production documentation.
• Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and recording production data.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and committed to quality.

Responsibilities

• Inspect extruded products for defects and overall quality.
• Pack finished products according to customer specifications, packaging instructions, and company standards.
• Apply labels and product identification accurately.
• Ensure correct quantities are packed and documented.
• Monitor product appearance and promptly report quality concerns to the operator, team lead, or supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S.
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE.
• Assist with material handling, palletizing, wrapping, and moving finished goods.
• Work effectively with extrusion operators, quality personnel, and team members to achieve production goals.
• Identify and communicate equipment, product, or safety issues to supervision.

The Extrusion packer is responsible for inspecting, packing, labeling, and preparing extruded products for shipment while maintaining safety, quality, and production standards. This role supports efficient operation of the extrusion production line by ensuring finished products meet customer specifications and company requirements.

Duties and responsibilities

• Inspect extruded products for defects and overall quality.
• Pack finished products according to customer specifications, packaging instructions, and company standards.
• Apply labels and product identification accurately.
• Ensure correct quantities are packed and documented.
• Monitor product appearance and promptly report quality concerns to the operator, team lead, or supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S.
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Assist with material handling, palletizing, wrapping, and moving finished goods.
• Work effectively with extrusion operators, quality personnel, and team members to achieve production goals.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.
