Job summary

Transcendia, Inc. is seeking a supervisor to oversee the Extrusion Coating, Liquid Coating, and Converting departments to meet production goals.

The role involves planning, scheduling, and directing staff across multiple coating lines to ensure efficient operation and product quality. The ideal candidate will have a manufacturing supervisory background, strong problem‑solving and communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment on a 7PM–7AM D shift.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in manufacturing or related field preferred and at least three years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in plastics or extrusion environment preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel and Word.
• Able to work as part of a team or independently.
• Commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate extrusion coating, liquid coating and converting operations.
• Analyze work orders to estimate hours and schedule machining to meet needs.
• Determine stock and supplies required for operations and requisition materials.
• Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders and assign duties.
• Plan material flow and machine layout according to work orders.
• Interface with others to ensure customer deadlines are met.
• Inspect parts to verify conformance to specifications.
• Direct workers in adjusting machines to repair nonconforming products.
• Develop and implement measures to improve production methods and equipment performance.
• Suggest changes to improve efficiency of shop and work crew.
• Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving problems.
• Maintain time and production records.
• Develop capital equipment justifications for tool and process improvements.
• Estimate, requisition, and inspect materials.
• Other duties as assigned.
