Job summary

Versatex in Scranton, PA is seeking a production assistant to support extrusion operations in a large, 24/7 manufacturing environment. The role focuses on assisting the extrusion operator, maintaining product quality, and completing production paperwork and reports.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, at least 1 year of experience, basic math and computer skills, and the ability to read gauges and a ruler. Training will cover safety procedures and quality standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist extrusion operator with machine cleaning functions.
• Monitor and complete quality checks to ensure product standards.
• Perform placement of pallets and proper packaging of finished material.
• Move material to designated areas as needed.
• Complete production operator reports and related paperwork.
• Follow plant safety procedures and company policies.
