Giro Pack, Inc. is hiring an Extrusion Assistant to support the extrusion process at our Vidalia, GA facility. This full-time role covers a 12-hour rotating shift (6:00 am – 6:00 pm) with a rotating schedule across weekends and weekdays. You will assist operators, handle materials, and help maintain a safe, clean production area.

The position emphasizes physical stamina, teamwork, and safety compliance, with duties spanning from hopper filling to scrap handling and form completion.

Qualifications

• Must be able to meet physical demands with long periods of standing and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Good hand-eye coordination and familiarity with power tools is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with safety as a priority.
• Warehouse experience is an asset but not required; must be flexible with schedule.

Responsibilities

• Fill hoppers with plastic film blow as needed.
• Maintain and service production machinery as required.
• Collect trash and keep the work area clean and safe.
• Complete required production forms.
• Assist the Extrusion Operator with changing bobbing spools.
• Transfer scrap materials to the assigned area.
• Operate film blow scrap/recycle machinery.
• Weigh, scan and transport finished products to assigned area.
• Conduct other tasks as assigned by extrusion operator/supervisor.

Job description

Giro Pack, Inc. is seeking a dependable, self motivated individual for our Extrusion Assistant position. The extrusion assistant will conduct manual labor tasks and support production operations at our Vidalia, Ga. location. Currently we have 1 open position for the 6:00 am - 6:00 pm shift. The shift operates on a twelve (12) hour rotating shift schedule. You would work Mon, Tue, Off Wed, Thu, Fri: Work Sat/Sun ~ The following week you would be off Mon/Tue, work Wed/Thu/Fri and off Sat/Sun.

The Extrusion Assistant plays an integral part in the manufacturing of products within the packaging industry and is responsible for conducting various tasks in support of the Extrusion Operator.

Extrusion Assistant job duties include:

• Fill hoppers with plastic film blow as needed
• Maintain/service production machinery as required
• Collect trash, debris and other waste to keep the work area clean and safe
• Complete required production forms
• Assist the Extrusion Operator with changing bobbing spools
• Transfer scrap materials to assigned area
• Operate film blow scrap/recycle machinery

• Conduct other tasks as assigned by extrusion operator/supervisor

Requirements and skills:
