Qualifications

• Mindestens 3 Jahre Erfahrung als Maschinenbediener, vorzugsweise in der Kunststoffindustrie.

Extruder Operator / Machine Operator (Days/Nights)

Intralox, LLC has an opening for a Machine Operator to work in the ThermoDrive Manufacturing Department based in Twinsburg, OH. The Machine Operator will be primarily responsible for the safe start-up, setup, and operation of thermoplastic extrusion equipment. This position will work either Day Shift (7:00AM - 7:00PM) or Night Shift (7:00PM - 7:00AM), and reports to the ThermoDrive Manufacturing Manager.

Responsibilities:

1. Start up, set up, operate, and tend machines that extrude thermoplastics to meet customer specifications and dimensions according to work orders.
2. Load materials into extruders and adjust feed mechanisms to set feed rates.
3. Operate controls to activate and adjust the extruding process.
4. Monitor machine operations, control boards, and gauges to detect defective material or malfunctions.
5. Stop the machine when processes are complete or malfunctions are detected.
6. Complete work orders and production reports accurately.
7. Maintain alertness while operating machinery to ensure safety and quality.
8. Participate in training to understand all production floor positions and processes.
9. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Skills and Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as a machine operator, preferably in a plastic environment.
• Experience with tow motor operation.
• Ability to read a tape measure and understand measurements.
• Mathematical aptitude.
• Ability to read and interpret specifications and measuring devices such as rulers, calipers, dial indicators, micrometers, and scales.
• Manual dexterity and proficiency with hand tools for setup and operation.
• Physical ability to lift and carry 50-100 pounds with or without assistance.
• Frequent standing, walking, and lifting.
• Adherence to written safety procedures.
• Previous extrusion experience and knowledge of plastic sheet extrusion processes are a plus.
• Regular and punctual attendance.

Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED minimum.
