  • Mentor Extrusion Assistants to hit production targets.
  • Maintain production logs and technical documentation.

Job Summary

Are you a \"detail person\" who loves working with complex machinery? We are looking for a Extruder Operator to run our high-tech production lines. This isn't just a manual labor job; it’s a technical role where you are the final authority on quality. If you have a \"measure twice, cut once\" mentality and want to work in an environment where precision is the top priority, we want to talk to you.

Key Duties And Responsibilities
Machine Operation & Setup
  • Expertly operate extrusion lines (up to 3") and manage high-capacity 72‑inch winding equipment.
  • Control precise heat zones (4–8 zones) and program digital inkjet systems for product coding.
  • Maintain equipment integrity by following manufacturer specs and company safety standards.
Quality & Traceability (ISO 9001)
  • Perform precision testing using calipers to verify diameter, wall thickness, and conductor centering.
  • Master 100% traceability by matching every spool’s physical label to its digital \"Traveler\" record.
  • Ensure safety compliance by using spark boxes to detect and resolve insulation defects instantly.
Safety & Maintenance
  • Adhere to all safety requirements and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) during setup and maintenance
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance and daily machine cleaning to ensure peak performance.
Logistics & Leadership
  • Manage final packaging including professional cable wrapping and standardized palletizing.
  • Mentor the team by cross‑training Extrusion Assistants to hit production targets.
  • Maintain flawless records including production logs, labels, and technical documentation.
Required Qualifications
  • Detail‑Oriented
  • Comfortable using basic math and are willing to learn how to use precision tools like calipers to measure product thickness.
  • Comfortable using computers or touchscreens to enter data.
  • Ability to write clearly and legibly to keep track of production numbers and labels.

Compensation & Benefits

Starting Pay: $22 - 25.25 per hour
