Responsibilities

• Locate and load materials onto the YEI conveyor to ensure consistent operation.
• Position non-woven material rolls to supply the shredder/compactor unit.
• Load materials onto the dump table for regrind and non-woven blends.
• Maintain a tidy workspace by disposing purge materials in designated containers.
• Keep the YEI zone organized and compliant with safety standards.
• Empty trash bins and manage waste as needed.
• Assist with equipment servicing and preventative maintenance tasks.

In this role, you will partner with the YEI Specialist to ensure the machine runs safely and efficiently, while also contributing to material handling, quality control, and general facility upkeep.

Core Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent machine operation by locating and loading necessary materials onto the YEI conveyor.
• Position non-woven material rolls to supply the shredder/compactor unit.
• Manage the loading of materials onto the dump table to facilitate the processing of regrind and non-woven blends.
• Help maintain a tidy workspace by collecting purge materials and placing them into designated containers.
• Support overall facility standards by keeping the YEI zone organized and free of clutter.
• Ensure waste management by emptying trash bins as they reach capacity.
• Support the YEI Specialist and Team Leader with equipment servicing and necessary preventative maintenance tasks.
• Help maintain continuous production flow by swapping full boxes on scales with fresh, lined containers.
• Document production output by recording accurate box weights on the appropriate logs.
• Contribute to operational efficiency by tracking machine performance and monitoring downtime events.
• Collaborate with the YEI Specialist to troubleshoot and address production challenges.
• Ensure regulatory compliance by finalizing all traceability paperwork before shift completion.
• Adhere to all directives issued by the YEI Specialist, supervisors, and management.
• Promote a safe working environment by conducting machine inspections and cleaning at the start of every shift.
• Prepare materials for production by cutting non-woven plastic rolls as needed.
• Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by strictly following all safety policies and PPE guidelines.
• Execute additional production tasks as requested by leadership.

Requirements

• Preferred background includes one to two years of experience in a production or manufacturing setting.
• Prior experience operating machinery is considered an asset.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with teammates.
• Capacity to comprehend and execute both written and verbal directions.
• Strong focus on precision and a dedicated commitment to workplace safety.
• Proven ability to perform in a fast-paced production setting.
