Job summary

TekWissen seeks an extrusion operator to operate and maintain high‑volume extrusion machinery, drawing thermoplastic or metal materials into hoses, bars, tubes, and rods. The role requires setting up equipment, reading blueprints, and ensuring product quality.

The candidate will adjust controls, synchronize speeds, and handle installation, testing, and inspection tasks in a manufacturing environment. This NH-based position offers hands-on problem solving and safety-focused operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain machines that extrude or draw thermoplastic or metal materials into hoses, bars, tubes, or rods
• Determine setup procedures and read blueprints and drawings
• Set controls to regulate vacuum, pressure, temperature, and sizing rings
• Synchronize extrusion speed and adjust controls as needed
• Inspect for defects and ensure conformance to specifications
• Install, connect, test, and adjust equipment; access work areas via pols and ladders
• Remove excess filaments and seal splices; position insulation over conductors
• Activate extruding machines and reel products into rolls

Job Summary:

• Responsible for operating and maintaining machines that extrude or draw out thermoplastic or metal materials into hoses, bars, tubes, rods, wires, or structures.
• Determine setup procedures.
• Draw or press metal into shapes and diameters.
• Reel extruded products into rolls.
• Specify lengths and weights of rolls.
• Set controls to regulate vacuum, air pressure, sizing rings, and temperature.
• Synchronize speed of extrusion.
• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Locate defects on extruded products.
• Check for conformance to specifications.
• Adjust controls as necessary.
• Install, connect, test, and adjust equipment.
• String lines or install terminal boxes.
• Position insulation over conductors.
• Seal splices with moisture-proof covering.
• Access areas by climbing pols and ladders.
• Remove excess, entangled, or completed filaments from machines.
• Operate machines that extrude filaments from synthetic materials such as rayon, fiberglass, or liquid polymers.
• Activate and adjust extruding machines.
