Inteplast Group is seeking an Extrusion Operator to set up, operate, and tend production equipment for extrusion and coating of flat films from synthetic materials. You will work independently and on a team to meet specifications and deadlines.

The role involves monitoring gauges, adjusting equipment, feeding materials, recording production data, and ensuring product quality across several extrusion steps. A strong attention to detail and flexibility with shifts are required.

• Watch gauges, dials, or indicators to ensure machine is functioning properly.
• Control operations of equipment or systems.
• Adjust machine controls to precise positions.
• Availability to work holidays and overtime as needed.
• Familiarity with rulers, scales, gauges, and measurement tools.

• Detect problems and troubleshoot with supervision awareness.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Dexterity to handle small parts.
• Maintain dependable attendance and flexible hours.
• Capable of handling work-related stress and professional interactions.

Aufgaben

• Adjust machine components to regulate speeds, pressures, temperatures, and measurements against standards.
• Monitor machine operations and observe lights and gauges to detect malfunctions.
• Clear jams and remove defective or substandard materials or products.
• Notify supervisors when extruded filaments fail to meet standards.
• Record production data, meter readings, and quantities or dimensions of materials produced.
• Review work orders and specifications to determine materials, settings, and adjustments for extrusion machines.
• Turn controls to adjust machine functions like air pressure, vacuum, and coolant flow.
• Clean dies, arbors, and molds using swabs, sponges, or air hoses.
• Synchronize speeds of machine sections when producing multi-step products.
• Move materials between storage and work areas using racks, hoists, and hand trucks.
• Activate machines to shape or form products.
• Select and install machine components such as dies and cutters.
• Send product samples to lab for analysis.
• Couple air and gas lines to machines to regulate material plasticity.
• Prepare materials for machine processing by measuring, mixing, and joining ingredients.
• Remove products from molds and machines and stack them for processing.
• Feed products into machines by hand or conveyor.
• Measure arbors and dies to sizes on work tickets.
• Thread extruded strips through water tanks and hold-down bars.
• Complete work tickets and attach with products.
• Disassemble equipment to repair or replace parts.
• Remove molds and feeder tubes after production.
• Swab molds to prevent sticking.
• Ignite burners or apply heat to products.
• Install, align, and adjust neck rings, plungers, and tubes.
