Job Title: Hydrocarbon Extraction Technician, Second Shift

Job Summary: As a Hydrocarbon Extraction Technician, you will be responsible for overseeing extraction processes, such as refining extracts, preparing products for distribution, and managing inventory. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, compliance and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • 1. Second shift hydrocarbon extraction operator.
  • 2. Responsible for maintaining SOP’s. Including but not limited to operations related to dried material preparation, fresh frozen material handling and preparation, and hydrocarbon extraction.
  • 3. Responsible for ensuring all solvents, media and necessary materials for hydrocarbon processing are maintained at an appropriate inventory level.
  • 4. Responsible for forecasting and maintaining current and changing production priorities.
Post-Processing Operations
  • 1. When needed, execute post-extraction processes, including but not limited to, refining extracts, blending, and preparing cannabis products for packaging, distribution and bulk sales.
Inventory Management
  • 1. Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, track product batches, and ensure proper labeling and storage of finished goods.
  • 2. Create, maintain, and keep record of all master production logs. Diligently track all inputs and outputs of each designated batch going through manufacturing.
  • 3. Oversee METRC tagging, inventory levels and the import/export of cannabis goods.
  • 4. Oversee internal inventory management and manufacturing order entries and ensure consumed components and output product quantities are accurate prior to validation of the order.
  • 5. Ensure batch folders are uploaded to the internal batch tracking system.
Quality Control
  • 1. Maintain quality control procedures, including inspection and testing of products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Regulatory Compliance
  • 1. Adhere to relevant regulations and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws regarding cannabis extraction.
  • 1. Communicate clearly and regularly with management, manufacturing technicians and production teams to ensure thorough execution of manufacturing activities.
  • 3. Collaborate with team members to improve extraction processes and techniques.
  • 4. Continue to strive for improvement, organization, and push comfort zones for the sake of growth, expansion and innovation.
Equipment Maintenance
  • 1. Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of processing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • 2. Ensure equipment tags are kept up-to-date when maintenance is performed or repairs are required.
Safety
  • 1. Promote a culture of safety and adhere to safety protocols during all manufacturing processes. Assist in providing safety meeting topics and training sessions with the help of the Laboratory Director.
Research and Development
  • 1. Collaborate with team members to develop and improve manufacturing processes and techniques.
Documentation
  • 1. Maintain detailed records of processing activities, inventory levels, quality control measures, batch records, and equipment logs.
Desired Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of cannabis extraction or experience operating hydrocarbon extraction systems.
  • Familiarity with METRC and ERP systems (preferred).
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance within the cannabis industry.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Strong problem solving skills, desire to learn while keeping an open mind.
