Job summary

chalicebrands is seeking a Cannabis Extraction Technician Lead to support and execute extraction and processing operations in a licensed facility in Oregon. This role emphasizes safety, precision, and regulatory compliance with OLCC standards to ensure high-quality product output.

You will lead technical tasks, monitor process parameters, and collaborate with the team to optimize yields while maintaining strict documentation and SOP adherence.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ and able to obtain OLCC Marijuana Worker Permit.
• One year+ of cannabis processing, extraction, or manufacturing experience.
• Strong understanding of cannabis extraction fundamentals and production workflows.
• Ability to lift 40+ pounds and work in variable temperature environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate extraction and processing equipment per SOPs.
• Monitor and adjust process parameters to optimize yield, consistency, and quality.
• Prepare, stage, and handle raw materials and in-process products for extraction and post-processing.
• Support multiple stages of production as needed, including preparation, extraction, post-processing, and packaging handoff.
• Record batch data including input/output weights and process parameters in METRC or tracking systems.
• Maintain compliance with OLCC regulations, safety requirements, and sanitation standards.

Position Summary

The Cannabis Extraction Technician Lead is responsible for supporting and executing cannabis extraction and processing operations within a licensed extraction facility. This role requires strong attention to detail, safety awareness, equipment handling skills, and a solid understanding of cannabis extraction principles and product quality standards. Operating within Oregon’s regulatory framework, the Extraction Technician Lead ensures consistent, high-quality product output while maintaining strict compliance with OLCC regulations and internal SOPs.

Pay:$22.00 - $26.00

schedule:Monday through Friday, 7am - 330pm

Key Responsibilities

Extraction and Processing Operations

• Operate extraction and processing equipment in accordance with SOPs, which may include solventless and or other approved extraction methods depending on site operations
• Monitor and adjust process parameters to optimize yield, consistency, and quality
• Prepare, stage, and handle raw materials and in-process products for extraction and post-processing
• Support multiple stages of production as needed, including preparation, extraction, post-processing, and packaging handoff

Quality Control

• Inspect intermediate and finished products for quality, consistency, and cleanliness
• Accurately collect, label, and track materials with correct batch information
• Identify and report abnormalities such as color variation, odor issues, contamination, or yield discrepancies

Compliance and Documentation

• Record batch data including input and output weights, process parameters, and batch IDs in METRC and or internal tracking systems
• Ensure all activities comply with OLCC regulations, safety requirements, sanitation standards, and security protocols
• Maintain clean, organized workspaces and ensure proper storage of all materials and products

Equipment Maintenance

• Clean and sanitize extraction and processing equipment and work areas daily
• Perform routine equipment checks and report malfunctions or safety concerns to Maintenance or Leadership
• Assist with calibration and general upkeep of equipment, gauges, and tools

Team Leadership and Collaboration

• Provide day to day guidance and support to extraction technicians
• Coordinate with post-processing, packaging, and inventory teams to maintain production flow
• Assist with R and D initiatives, process improvements, and new product development as assigned

Qualifications

Required

• Must be 21 plus and able to obtain and maintain an active OLCC Marijuana Worker Permit
• One plus year of experience in cannabis processing, extraction, or manufacturing environments
• Strong understanding of cannabis extraction fundamentals and production workflows
• Ability to lift 40 plus pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in variable temperature environments

Preferred

• Experience in a licensed cannabis extraction facility
• Familiarity with METRC or other seed to sale tracking systems
• Experience with post-processing techniques and production scaling
• Prior leadership or lead level experience in a production environment

Working Conditions

• Exposure to loud machinery, heat, cold, and repetitive manual tasks
• Daily handling of cannabis plant material and finished products
• PPE required, including gloves, protective eyewear, hairnets, and other site specific equipment
• Schedule may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays based on production needs
