Job summary

Cordant Health Solutions is seeking an Extractions Lab Technician to join Laboratory Operations in Indianapolis, IN. The role involves preparing biological specimens for analysis, including urine and oral fluids, and performing extraction techniques under supervisor guidance.

The position requires a science-related bachelor's degree and laboratory experience is preferred. You will work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with opportunities to contribute to high-volume analysis while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field required (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Biomedical/Pre-Med, Forensics, or Toxicology).
• Laboratory experience preferred.
• Data entry skills (alpha and numeric keyboarding) required.
• Strong hand-eye coordination required.

Responsibilities

• Aliquot urine and/or oral fluid specimens for sample preparation procedures.
• Perform sample preparation techniques including specimen hydrolysis, solid phase extraction, and liquid-liquid extraction in accordance with laboratory SOPs.
• Prepare samples for liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC/MS-MS) analysis.
• Prepare and restock reagents and buffers as needed.
• Assist with maintaining adequate inventory of laboratory supplies.
• Troubleshoot issues as necessary and escalate when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate records associated with specimen preparation and chain of custody.
• Perform other duties as assigned, consistent with education, training, and abilities.
