Job summary

Cordant Health Solutions is seeking a self-motivated Extraction Lab Technician in Indianapolis, IN. You will prepare urine and oral fluid samples for analysis, perform extractions and maintain custody documentation under the Lab Operations team.

The role requires a science degree, lab experience, and accurate data entry. Shift is 10am-6:30pm, with night differential for certain hours. Comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a science field (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Pre-med (Biomed), Forensics & Toxicology), REQUIRED
• Laboratory experience preferred
• Data entry skills via a keyboard (alpha and numeric), required
• Strong eye-hand coordination, required
• Ability to handle a high-volume environment while maintaining the highest level of quality, required

Responsibilities

• Aliquot urine and/or oral fluid specimens for sample preparation procedures
• Perform sample preparation techniques including hydrolysis, solid phase extraction, liquid-liquid extraction as outlined in the lab SOP
• Prepare samples for LC/MS-MS
• Prepare and restock reagents and buffers as needed
• Assist with maintaining an adequate inventory of laboratory supplies
• Troubleshoot problems as necessary
• Responsible for all record keeping associated with specimen preparation and chain of custody
• Performs other tasks and duties as assigned, commensurate with education, training, and abilities
