Job summary

Revolution Global is seeking an Extraction Technician in Wisconsin to perform extraction and refinement of cannabis concentrates.

You will operate diverse extraction systems, follow SOPs, and maintain precise records to ensure quality and safety. A strong focus on lab safety, compliance, and teamwork is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with cannabis extraction techniques and equipment is preferred.
  • Ability to follow complex SOPs with attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of cannabis chemistry, cannabinoids, terpenes, and contaminants.
  • Excellent organizational and communications skills.
  • Relevant certifications (OSHA, cGMP, or similar) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain extraction equipment (CO2, hydrocarbon, ethanol, solventless).
  • Execute precise extraction and post-processing (winterization, filtration, decarboxylation).
  • Follow SOPs and batch records to ensure standardized production.
  • Maintain documentation: yields, temperatures, pressures, and other metrics.
  • Monitor deviations and assist troubleshooting with Lab Supervisor.
  • Ensure safety compliance with OSHA and cannabis regulations.
  • Collaborate with lab team and report production goals and challenges.

Description

The Extraction Technician is responsible for performing extraction and refinement processes for cannabis products, workingwithin thelabteam to produce Revolution's lineof high-quality concentrates. This role requires a strongfocus on process adherence, quality control, labsafety and complianceprotocols, and consistentoutput . Core competencies that willlead to success in this dynamic role include precision and accuracy in executing procedures, problemsolvingskills,time management, and adaptability. TheExtraction Technician willwork closely with and report to theLab Supervisor to ensure that all processes alignwithRevolution Cannabis' high standards for quality and efficiency.

Requirements
Essential Functions
ExtractionProcess Execution
  • Operate and maintain extraction equipment, including carbon dioxide (CO2), hydrocarbon, ethanol, and solventless extraction systems .
  • Execute precise extraction and post-processing techniques (winterization,filtration, decarboxylation) to produce cannabis concentrates and ensure consistent product quality.

A Accurately follow SOPs and batchrecords duringevery stage of extractiontoensure standardized production and avoid deviation from established procedures.

Quality Control and Documentation
  • Adheretoqualitystandardsby implementing in-processtestingandfollowingqualitycontrol protocols .
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation for each step inthe production process, including logging metricssuchasyields,temperatures, pressures, and othercriticalfactors .
  • Monitor for any deviations or inconsistencies,notifyingtheLabSupervisor immediately and assistingin troubleshootingto rectify issues quickly.
Lab Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting
  • Perform routine cleaning, calibration, andpreventative maintenance onextraction equipment, ensuringall machinery is in optimal working condition .
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues andassist withrepairs asnecessary tominimize downtime andensure smooth operation.
  • Safelyhandle,transport, and store solvents and raw materials, ensuringcompliance with allOSHA and cannabis-industry-specific safety regulations.
Complianceand Safety
  • Adhereto all state andlocalregulations governing cannabis processing and extraction, aswellasOSHAand company-specific safety standards .

Useappropriate PPE and follow safetyprotocols, includingspillprevention and hazardous wastemanagement procedures.

  • Work closely with other extraction technicians and lab personnel to coordinate daily workflows and production schedule.

C Communicate effectivelywith theLabSupervisorandManager regardingproduction goals, ongoingprojects, and any challenges encountered.

  • Contributetoapositiveteamenvironment, sharing knowledgeand assistingteammembersas necessary.
  • High school diploma
  • Associate's orBachelor'sdegree inChemistry, Biology,or arelated fieldis preferred.
  • Previous experience ina labenvironment, especially within cannabis extraction, food production, or pharmaceuticals, is highly desirable
Required or Preferred Skills, Abilities, Licensures and Certifications
  • Familiaritywithcannabis extraction techniquesandequipmentis preferred.
  • Ability tofollow complexSOPswith attention to detailis essential.
  • Basic understanding of cannabis chemistry, includingconstituents as cannabinoids, terpenes, and common contaminants.
  • Excellentorganizationalandcommunicationskills,with the abilitytomanagemultipletasksand priorities.
  • Anyrelevantcertifications(e.g.,OSHA,cGMP,orsimilar)area plus.
Additional Requirements
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Must possess valid state ID.
  • Must be able to obtain, and maintain, state badging requirements in order to work in in cannabis industry (requires background check and state review).
  • Must be able to wear appropriate PPE including respirators, gloves, Tyvek suits, and eye protection.
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

With or without reasonable accommodation, requires the physical and mental capacity to perform effectively all essential functions. In addition to other demands, the demands of the job include:

  • Work in varying environmental conditions including high humidity, fluctuating temperatures, and exposure to fertilizers and cleaning chemicals.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive bending, reaching, and kneeling tasks.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and climbing stairs; occasionally working in confined spaces.
  • Must be able to wear full PPE and perform tasks safely under those conditions.
  • Visual acuity and fine motor skills required for reading instruments, inspecting equipment, and recording data.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Mustbeabletoworkinalaboratoryenvironmentwithstrictsafety protocols.
Work Schedule
  • 40+ hours weekly with flexible hours depending on department needs.
  • Flexibility toworkrotatingshifts, including nights and weekends,as requiredbyproduction schedules.
  • Must be available to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Summary

Note: A qualifying applicant must successfully complete a 90 day evaluation period.
