Job summary

Vireo Health in Minnesota seeks a Laboratory Technician - Extraction Focus to support cannabis-based medicine production and help maintain efficient workflows. You will assist the manufacturing team, perform CO2 extraction, and keep detailed records to ensure quality and compliance.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on chemical processing experience, the ability to lift 50 pounds, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of chemical processing and equipment use experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.
• Experience in the medical cannabis industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform stripping, grinding, decarboxylation of cannabis materials.
• Perform CO2 extraction of cannabis materials.
• Perform de-waxing and concentrations of cannabis extracts.
• Maintain a detailed laboratory log and records of results.
• Keep a clean and safe working environment; work in a team or independently.
• Conduct weekly safety checks and participate in safety meetings.

We are looking for an energetic and dedicatedLaboratory Technician - ExtractionFocusedtojoin our growing dynamic team!The ideal candidate will be driven, innovative, compassionate, believe in the goodness of people and cannabis, and enjoys the one team, one dream motto! TheLaboratory Technician - Extraction Focusedwillassistmanufacturing team in the production ofcannabis basedmedicines..This position reports directly to the Laboratory Manager.

What impact you’ll make:

• Perform stripping, grinding, decarboxylation of cannabis materials
• Perform CO2 extraction of cannabis materials
• Perform de‑waxing and concentrations of cannabis extracts
• Perform dry sift and solventless extraction processes
• Keep organized record of all procedures and results
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Able to work independently as well as operating as a team
• Keeps a detailed laboratory log, dating and recording all tasks performed and relevant results
• Performs weekly safety checks of fire‑extinguishing equipment, eyewash stations and shower stations. Attends safety meetings as required
• Perform other functions as necessary to provide an adequate supply of product to meet patient demand
• Able to setup, maintain and repair equipment
• Keep an inventory of production materials to ensure supply chain stability
• Provide feedback to improve process quality and efficiency
• Perform other tasks as requested

Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years or older
• Associates Degree Preferred
• 3+ years of experience in chemical processing and equipment use
• Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally
• Able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds or more
• Attention to detail
• Previous experience in medical cannabis industry

What we offer:

• Compensation: $19.92/hour
