Summary of Job Duties:The Extra-Help/ Conference Services Assistant in the operations role will work with a variety of staff and students in the UALR Conference Services. The position is vital to the success of everyday operations at the Donaghey Student Center. The assistant will gain a large amount of knowledge in understanding the daily operations, programming, and event planning of a large university student center. It offers the opportunity to grow as a student and professional. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.Qualifications:

Required Education and/or Experience:

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Arrange tables/chairs for meetings and events as requested by facility guests;

  • Assist facility guests in the use of IT equipment;

  • Facility cleaning, organizing, and storing conference equipment;

  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Be a responsible and dependable person;

  • Possess excellent communication and organizational skills;

  • Be self-motivated, and customer-service oriented;

  • Be able to work independently and as a part of a productive team;
