Job summary

Victoria ISD Maintenance - Custodial in Victoria, Texas is seeking an Extra Curricular District Events Custodian (As needed) to perform routine cleaning and maintenance to high safety and efficiency standards across district facilities.

Starting immediately, you will operate cleaning equipment, lift up to 50 pounds, assist in event setups, and follow district policies while maintaining neat school buildings and grounds.

Qualifications

• Must read and understand cleaning and safety instructions.
• Knowledge of minor repair procedures and building maintenance.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and lift heavy items up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to handle cleaning supplies safely.
• Physical ability to perform duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a cleaning schedule that includes floors, chalkboards, wastebaskets.
• Keep school buildings and grounds neat and clean including sidewalks, driveways, parking lots and play areas.
• Comply with local laws and procedures for storage and disposal of trash.
• Assist in maintaining an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment and request additional supplies as needed.
• Assist in setting up facilities for special events.
• Act professional with fellow employees and students and follow District policies.

Job Description

Primary Purpose :

Follow routine cleaning and maintenance procedures to maintain a high standard of safety, and efficiency of building operations and grounds.

Major Responsibilities and Duties

4. Correct unsafe conditions in work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to supervisor immediately.
5. Report accident to Custodial Supervisor.
6. Follow all safety procedures of Victoria Independent School District.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $12.54 to $15.92 Per Hour
