Job summary

TikTok is seeking an External Security Relations & Assurance lead within the Global Security Organization to serve as the primary trust and assurance interface with external clients, partners, and regulators. You will own end‑to‑end client security assurance lifecycle, from inquiries to tailored narratives and continuous relationship management.

You will translate complex security controls into clear business language, build trusted partnerships with sales, and drive scalable assurance processes

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to translate complex security and compliance concepts into clear, business‑relevant language for non‑technical audiences
• Strong understanding of enterprise security frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST) and regulatory landscapes (GDPR, CCPA, DSA, OSA)
• Proven experience managing multiple client relationships and prioritizing competing demands effectively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer‑service‑first mindset
• Experience developing security assurance materials: whitepapers, evidence packages, and vendor questionnaire responses
• Ability to collaborate cross‑functionally with Legal, Privacy, Compliance, and Engineering teams

Responsibilities

• Own external client and partner security inquiries end‑to‑end, from intake through delivery
• Produce client security assurance deliverables (security narratives, architecture briefs, assurance packages) that are accurate, tailored, and ready for external sharing without rework
• Build and maintain trust‑based relationships with sales teams
• Lead client‑facing security briefings that translate complex controls into business language that moves deals forward
• Embed into advertising products, understand the architecture and where security risks live, ensure assurance is grounded in reality
• Understand the sales lifecycle and deliver assurance when it is critical
• Define and enforce a client security response model with SLAs, escalation paths, and quality standards
• Tailor responses to each client’s security requirements, regulatory obligations, and risk appetite
• Maintain a client security knowledge base for fast, consistent responses
• Partner with Legal, Privacy, Compliance, and Product Security to ensure all client‑facing representations are approved
• Review client RFPs and vendor questionnaires to identify gaps before the client does
• Identify opportunities to automate and standardize client security response processes
