Job summary

Cresco Labs is seeking a Senior Manager of External Reporting to join our corporate finance team in Chicago, IL. This role leads the external reporting function, owning month-end close for stock-based compensation and equity transactions, and driving the full implementation of the Certent equity system.

The ideal candidate will have a CPA, 7+ years in external reporting at a publicly traded company, and deep U.S. GAAP/SEC knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 7+ years of accounting/external reporting experience at a publicly traded company.
• CPA required.
• Experience with equity system implementation.
• Experience with Certent, Intacct, BPC, Workiva.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting rules.
• Advanced MS Excel and MS Office skills.
• Ability to thrive in a post‑start‑up, fast‑paced, public company environment.
• Ability to work independently with strong organization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual SEC filings.
• Oversee EPS calculations, including diluted shares and weighted-average activity.
• Coordinate with auditors on audit requests.
• Perform technical accounting research on complex equity/SBC transactions under US GAAP.
• Lead the full implementation of Certent, the equity accounting system.
• Own the SBC month-end close process and reconciliations.
• Maintain internal controls and SOX documentation.
• Manage External Reporting analysts and mentor the team.
