Job summary

LHH is seeking an External Reporting Accountant I to join a high-visibility corporate accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accountant with exposure to public-company reporting and senior leadership.

You'll assist with quarterly and annual external reporting, prepare statements and disclosures, and help ensure GAAP compliance while growing your technical accounting skills in a hybrid Kansas City setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 1+ years of relevant accounting or audit experience.
• Understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage deadlines in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with quarterly and annual external reporting.
• Prepare financial statements, supporting schedules, and disclosures.
• Help ensure reporting is accurate, complete, and compliant with GAAP.
• Research accounting guidance and document conclusions.
• Maintain supporting documentation and effective internal controls.
• Collaborate with accounting, audit, and business partners.
• Cross-train across multiple reporting responsibilities.
