The Slot Technician Manager is responsible for the successful operation of the Technical Operations of the Slot Department. You will also be responsible for ensuring the operational readiness, material conditioning, and regulatory compliance of all VLT/Slot machines. You will coordinate the repair of machines, assemblies, and support equipment on a daily basis to ensure maximum performance.
The manager works with and accomplishes the conversion, replacement, removal, and/or adjustment of machines, working closely with the OEM technicians and/or a third-party contractor. Verifies and maintains consistency in compliance of state laws, regulations, and company internal policies and procedures with regard to the movement and maintenance of slot machines.
Responsibilities (Text Only)
Where You'll Make an Impact: - Manages the budget for the Slot Technical Department. - Maintaining required documentation of slot moves, maintenance and repair logs, and purchase orders and requisitions for slot machine parts and supplies. - Manages house technicians and/or coordinates Service Technicians in the performance of their duties. - Responsible for creating/reviewing reports and statistical data for malfunctions or other problems and implementing appropriate maintenance and repair lists. - Creates processes for investigating standard deviation, variance, and other performance errors with slot machines. - Review the department’s financial data, operational performance, and all other activities with the Director of Slot Operations. - Assists and works with the Slot Operations Managers/Supervisors to ensure maximum game availability and customer experience. - Create managerial reports for executive review while providing recommendations for improved operations, service methodology, and slot performance indicators to support the functions of analytical and forecasting requirements to improve revenue. - Slot Machine performance as it relates to actual and theoretical hold, coin in, and handle pulls. - Analyze and monitor slot machine performance relating to slot movements, new products, and denomination changes. - Maintain the integrity of the slot master database and all slot equipment and related information. - Coordinates supplemental support activities between Technicians and Table Games Department, assisting with maintenance and repairs of electronic signage, replacement of table game layouts, etc. - Ability to extend complimentaries in accordance with the property comp matrix. - Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Must-Haves:
- Education:
- High School or GED Equivalent
- A 4-year degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Experience:
- Required: Six (6) to fifteen (15) years’ experience in Slot Technical Management preferred while electronics and maintenance of technical equipment, video game machines or other industry experience is considered.
- Preferred: experience with:
- Slot accounting and player tracking systems.
- Multiple slot machine manufacturers and models, set up, communications and optioning.
- AutoCAD and floor layout
- Must have the ability to secure and maintain licensure as required by Virginia Gaming Control Board or any other applicable regulatory entity as may be required to perform assigned duties, or as required by Live’s operating standards.
