Job summary

Live! Casino & Hotel in Maryland seeks an Assistant General Manager for the Luma lounge to lead daily operations, ensure exceptional service, and guide a team in a fast-paced nightlife setting. You will apply restaurant and beverage expertise to deliver flawless execution and responsible alcohol service.

The role requires strong leadership, inventory control, budgeting, and a commitment to Live!'s standards and guest satisfaction. Relocation not indicated.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• 5–7 years in restaurant or lounge management.
• Serv-Safe and RAMP certified.
• Full working knowledge of POS.
• Knowledge of Responsible Gaming Program.
• Flexibility with schedule; may require extended hours.
• Must obtain Maryland gaming license.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and uphold all company and departmental policies.
• Supervise and train managers and hourly staff; maintain open communication.
• Maintain beverage/food inventories and ensure quality control for alcohol service.
• Ensure timely, elevated service aligned with lounge standards.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to, implement, and uphold all company and departmental policies.

• Maintain beverage/food inventories and ensure quality control for alcohol service.
• Ensure timely, consistent, elevated service aligned with lounge standards.
• Assist in managing labor, beverage, and food costs to meet budgeted goals.
• Ensure employee and guest safety through strong knowledge of safety procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable liquor laws and gaming regulations.
• Achieve revenue goals, control expenses, and maximize profitability across lounge operations.
• Maintain company operating standards and demonstrate professionalism that reflects Live!’s values.
• Respond to guest trends, feedback, and issues to enhance satisfaction and future business.
• Extend complimentaries in accordance with the property comp matrix.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of sanitation laws and health regulations and applicable OSHA regulation.

• Accuracy in completing assigned duties in a timely manner.
• Mathematical skills, including basic math, budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages, and variances are utilized frequently.

Qualifications

Must Haves:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
• Preferred, five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in restaurant or lounge management experience, preferably in fine dining, craft cocktail, or nightlife environments.
• Must be Serv-Safe and RAMP certified.
• Must have full working knowledge of POS.
• Must have knowledge of approved Responsible Gaming Program.
• Willingness and ability to be flexible with work schedule. May require extended hours and work week from time to time.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license as determined by the Maryland State Lottery and Gaming Commission for the position.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods of times without sitting or leaning.
• Ability to climb stairs multiple times daily.
• Ability to handle multi-tasking-heavy work-exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and up to 30 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
• Ability to climb, bend, stretch, twist or reach with your body and arms.
• Ability towork under variable temperatures and noise levels.

Working Conditions:

• 24/7 high energy casino with over 300,000 sq. ft of gaming and entertainment space and approximately 3000 employees.
• Exposed to alcohol, cigarette and cigar smoke, bright lights, and loud noises.
• You will work in an environment where smoking is allowed.
