Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Utility Cloud Support Systems Administrator in Jessup, MD to support cloud, VDI, and enterprise IT infrastructure. You will generate build books, BOMs, network diagrams, and capacity plans while coordinating with network, storage, and server staff.

The role requires an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, DoD 8570 IAM Level I+, and at least 10 years as a systems administrator, with deep experience in cloud technologies including VMware and AWS.

Responsibilities

Peraton is hiring a Utility Cloud Support Systems Administrator to join our Cyber Mission business unit in Jessup, MD. As a Systems Administrator on our team, you will support one of the largest enterprise-wide engineering contracts within the Intelligence Community. This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year; and work is performed at a customer location.

As a Utility Cloud Support Systems Administrator, you will provide system administration solutions to meet required capabilities for cloud, Virtual Desktop (VDI), and other current and future Computer Infrastructure. You will create bills of materials, network designs and diagrams, rack elevations, cable run lists, build books, and other documentation for new and updated installations. You will also work with network, storage, and server personnel to define new or modified solutions to complex problems; respond to requests for new MUC and VDI systems; design systems to meet capacity and user requirements; and determine required power, space, cooling, and funding to meet these goals. #MDFSP #AJCM

Qualifications

Individual Capabilities/Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or universityand ten(10) years’ experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
  • Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level I or higher is required.
• Position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph

Additional domain experience required:

• Computer Network Operations - Must have at least two (2) years of demonstrated experience in Modern operating systems and network architectures.
• Information Assurance - Must have at least two (2) years of demonstrated experience in certification and accreditation. Architecture development and design. Risk Assessments. IA Metrics gathering.
• Ability to work independently and in groups to complete tasks bounded by constraints.
• Experience with VMware virtualization technology.
• Ability to break down complex problem space, formulate technical strategies, build action plans, and track progress against established baselines to resolve technical challenges and meet customer expectations.

Individual Capabilities/Experience Desired:

• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Familiarity with C and C++
• experience with AWS

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
