Job summary

Accurant LLC is seeking an experienced external auditor to join our Austin, MN location. The role focuses on leading audits for nonprofit, for-profit, and government entities, with emphasis on accurate financial reporting and client engagement. You will review complex issues, prepare final entries, and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in accounting, 5+ years in audits, and strong communication. CPA preferred; TaxDome, QuickBooks and MS Office experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• CPA license preferred.
• 5+ years leading audits (non-profit and government) in a CPA firm.
• Must live near the Austin, MN office to meet clients in-person.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance accounting and financial reporting standards.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client relations.
• Experience with TaxDome, QuickBooks & Microsoft Office is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a similar field required
• CPA license preferred
• At least five years of leading audits (non-profit and government) in a CPA firm setting
• Must live in close proximity to the office in order to meet with clients in-person
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance accounting, and financial reporting standards
• Desire to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication & interpersonal skills, displaying the ability to connect & build relationships with clients, firm leadership and peers
• Confidence in professional aptitude & the ability to effectively convey skills, knowledge and qualifications to clients
• Experience with TaxDome, QuickBooks & Microsoft Office a plus
